Design of a campus informationsystem on mobile clients

The accelerated technological development in the branch of mobile devices and transmission technologies enables a variety of new application possibilities. Actually mobile devices shrink though their unctionality and available memory increase. UMTS (HSDPA) as well as WLAN offer a high level of mobility and data throughput in order to realize mobile database applications.
This thesis describes how to develop a mobile application in combination with a mobile database and offers a mobile campus information system as an example. This application allows professors and students to retrieve and enter study relevant information. Furthermore this developed application should be preferably platform independent with high security and usability.
