Students who have completed this module know and understand the foundations of new database concepts and can compare them with and evaluate against the architecture of conventional database systems. They understand the concepts of document-oriented, graph-based or column-oriented systems and possess the skill to apply them in the respective query languages. Furthermore they possess the ability to autonomously acquire further skills regarding the content of the different areas.
